Believe it: this happened at a college debate. And those are professors.

In one corner is PITT’s Shanara Reid-Brinkley. In the other, some insecure hippy prof from Fort Hayes.

Forget the other numb nuts for a minute… how should PITT handle its own prof’s behavior? She just lost her cool in a way most of us can relate to. But is a verbal reprimand enough to control for damages the PITT brand will sustain from the fallout of this video? I doubt it.

I’m not saying she deserves to lose her job.

But I fear her removal may be necessary to draw a clear line for the public between Professor Reid-Brinkley’s behavior and the types of attitudes and behaviors PITT should promote as a place of higher education.

Went to Vegas for the first time this Spring with my buddy.

This is one of my favorite photos from the trip. The Fountains at Bellagio are just amazing. If you’ve been to Vegas you know everything in that city is over the top. And these fountains (thank heaven) are no exception.

Catching a good song is kind of luck-of-the-draw, but I know they dance to Con te Partiro and (my favorite) God Bless the USA.

Love it. To be in that city again…
